About Eileen
Here’s a little info on me and how I came to be with you today. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 29 years and we have 4 (almost) grown children and one granddaughter. My husband served for 20 years in the army so we were lucky enough to have been stationed in 13 different places and made some great friends along the way. We have lived outside of DC for 14 years and are lucky because there’s so much to do here.
I have always enjoyed creating- from paper dolls to paper crafts. I have taken classes in calligraphy, painting, matting and framing, jewelry making, stamping, and cake decorating throughout our our travels. There is nothing like learning a new craft to get your creative juices flowing. When the kids started college and going off on their own, I decided to use all of the experience I had in this industry and make a career of designing professionally.
I began submitting various projects to books and magazines and lo and behold, I was a published designer. From there, I went on to write two books, “Matboard Magic” and “Foamboard Magic”, for Logan Graphic Products, the manufacturer of the mat cutter that I had owned for 12 years.
Since I work with matboard, I thought it would be a good idea to have dies that could cut and score heavier materials to create cute little boxes, folders and totes. I am happy to report that in December of 2009, my own line of dies with Sizzix were released. They are called ScoreBoards and my second collection is now shipping!
There are some other projects in negotiation right now and will be sure to let you know what’s up when I can. Here’s where I will be sharing some of the paper-crafting tips, techniques I have learned over the years as well as new projects. Please feel free to comment, ask questions or post things that work for you on this blog. Have a question that you need help with? We’ll try and get an answer for you. Don’t be shy!
I’d like to invite you to visit my blog at www.eileenhull.blogspot.com or www.sizzix.com/blogs where I post on Mondays.
I look forward to getting to know you.
From my studio to yours,
Eileen
